Mark Kiely Lic Ac, MBAcC, LCM Dip, BSc (Hons)
Mark graduated from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in 2007 and has been in practice ever since. He subsequently went on to study two courses at the London College of Massage to qualify in therapeutic and deep tissue massage.
As an acupuncturist, he has worked with patients presenting with a wide range of symptoms, including:
- Stress, anxiety, and depression
- Chronic and acute pain
- Morning sickness and pregnancy-related issues
- ‘Difficult’ conditions that conventional medicine can struggle sometimes to address, such as ME, headaches, and insomnia
Some people have acupuncture simply to find more energy or to feel more balanced. Acupuncture has been used for over two thousand years in China as a powerful preventative medicine with practitioners trained to see the signs of disease before the onset of any symptoms. As well as acupuncture, Mark is fully-trained in various techniques associated with traditional Chinese medicine, including cupping, moxibustion, and traditional Chinese dietary therapy.
Among the benefits that massage can offer are relaxation, relief from stress, reduction in pain levels, increased flexibility, improved lymph drainage, raised endorphin levels, and improved circulation.
Mark encourages all clients to play an active role in their treatment and will sometimes prescribe Qi Gong postures to be practised at home and give specific dietary advice.
In addition to practising as an acupuncturist and massage therapist, Mark has also taught human anatomy to undergraduate and diploma students at acupuncture and massage colleges. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and is fully-insured.
Mark is an approved Acupuncturist with AXA and CIGNA. Your session could be covered if you are with another health insurance / cash plan provider, so please give us a call on 020 7720 7933 and we will do our best to help you
