As with many other therapists, my interest in Massage was kindled many years ago, through my own dissatisfaction with the ‘solutions’ and pills offered by orthodox medicine. First, a Naturopath, then a Homeopath were the professionals who helped me to health. But as a trained artist, it was Massage Therapy that I was drawn to as it was a very ‘hands on’ therapy with immediate impact.
My first Massage qualification was taken in 1986 – long before the recognition and huge expansion of the alternative and complementary therapy industry which is evident today. I have since raised a family and have continued to explore new techniques and disciplines, while maintaining my core treatment.
For clients, I believe that a massage should provide a greater understanding and awareness of what your body is telling you, as well as actual tangible benefits.
