What Is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is based on the principle that ‘like cures like’. For example a homeopath treats fever by giving a remedy that would cause a fever in a healthy person (such as our remedy ‘Belladonna’ which is made from Deadly Nightshade). However the remedies are incredibly safe as they are so dilute.

Why is homeopathy different?

Conventional medicines often seek to suppress your symptoms. In my experience this often just masks the symptoms (which are our bodies way of telling us something is wrong), which then return again & again.

Homeopathic remedies stimulate your bodies own healing response. For example, if you come to have your hay fever treated, my treatment goal will be to have you symptom free & not needing any sort of medication.

Homeopathy also has the ability to unblock emotional traumas from the past, and even address inherited weaknesses.

What happens in a consultation?

We will spend between 60 & 90 minutes discussing your symptoms & finding out about your previous medical history. Often this process allows clients to see the links between events in their life & their health conditions. For example I have treated cases of asthma which were caused by unresolved grief, once we addressed this with remedies, the asthma symptoms disappeared. From what I see in the consultation, I will prescribe you a homeopathic remedy. These can be made from almost anything: animal, vegetable or mineral…as well as more unusual things like sunlight, mobile phone radiation etc. They are incredibly dilute, non-toxic, non-addictive, safe & effective.

How Long Before I See a Difference?

This will vary depending on the condition & your individual health. However you should see big improvements by your 3rd or 4th appointment. Often clients report improvements within days of starting their treatment for things like chronic constipation or hay fever, but it may be several months before rheumatoid arthritis starts to improve.
