My goal as a therapist is allow people to move as best they can to suit their lifestyles and educate them on why it has happened. My mantra is “Help me, help you”
The way I achieve these improvements is by using a holistic approach to look for movement dysfunction. Once identified, I have several different approaches to improving movement dysfunction. The most important is having a partnership with clients to achieve long term improvements with targeted prescribed exercise. Secondly, soft tissue release or massage to free any potential problem areas. Thirdly, joint mobilisations to improve movement in particular joints. Finally, acupuncture as an adjunct to these treatments to help with pain management.
I am registered with our governing bodies the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). I have treated a wide and varied range of clients within the NHS, sports teams and the private sector. I am very familiar with physical conditions relating to peoples jobs, accidents, sports/leisure activities or age. I also have experience working with people with neurological conditions that want to be able to do something physically that they are unable to at present.
